COVID-19 Reponse
Because the social distancing required as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, all in-person rehearsals and classes are cancelled until further notice, but students have been urged to continue practising at home.
As a response to this we are launching our FREE Virtual Concert Series. Click here to join the mailing list.
Feel free to contact us about anything. Stay safe and keep practising!

WHO WE ARE
TTYP is a non-profit organization dedicated to music education and performance excellence among the children and youth of Trinidad & Tobago.
The Trinidad and Tobago Youth Philharmonic (TTYP), is the largest of the few full symphonic orchestras in the English-speaking Caribbean and the only Youth Symphony Orchestra in Trinidad and
Tobago. We were founded in 1999 by Kenneth Listhrop and started life as the St. Augustine Chamber Orchestra (SACO) with seventeen string students and transitioned to a full chamber orchestra in 2006. Over the last 20 years, we have averaged 200
strong, with 120 Junior & Intermediate students feeding the Advanced Orchestra of 80 musicians. We now boast over 1000 alumni.
Our ongoing mission is to establish an orchestral tradition as
the leading youth symphony and orchestra in the Caribbean, and to promote a greater awareness and appreciation of symphonic music through a rich variety of concert genres, including classical, jazz, pop
and Caribbean music all year round.
